If you’re an E.ON customer, you could get free E.ON insulation grants that will help you reduce your energy bills and carbon emissions. Homes without insulation have been proven to lose around one-third of their heat through their walls, closely followed by their roof. E.ON, along with other large UK energy companies like EDF, British Gas, npower, and more, have a responsibility to fulfil the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.
This scheme is designed to make domestic properties across the country more energy efficient by reducing their carbon emissions and lowering their heating bills to ensure vulnerable and low-income households can easily access financial support. Qualifying individuals through ECO can receive free insulation grants from their energy company to cover the cost of having these energy efficient measures fitted.

Saving the energy that would normally escape through the loft hatch because of a lack of loft insulation in your property (particularly a detached house or bungalow) can be easily achieved with loft insulation. This will be fully funded if you qualify for ECO4 energy efficient grants with E.ON.
Without a grant, depending on the style of property you have, the cost of insulating your loft with basic blanket insulation can start from about £345, although this can be a significant investment for some.
